Art & Adventure Camp
Art & Adventure Camp is a unique and innovative specialty art camp, designed by Leyla Demirtas. Young Artists have in-person experiences throughout the Art Museums, Galleries, and Central Park on the UWS/UES.
Art & Adventure Camp is open to MATURE 7-to-15-year old boys and girls, who MUST have a true love of: art museums, drawing, painting and learning about the visual arts & art history!
Each week is filled with relaxing adventures throughout:
•The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim Museum, The NY Historical Society, The Museum of Natural History, The NY Historical Society, The Art Galleries on Madison Avenue, The Central Park Zoo, and more!
Each day throughout the week Art & Adventure Camper will:
Tour a different art museum and/or gallery learning how to sketch what they see.
Learn and discuss the Art History of the artist and artwork they are viewing
Create “En Plein Air” in Central Park learning how to paint and draw what they see.
Camp Size: 3 to 6 Campers per week only. This will ensure more undivided attention. So space is limited per week! Early sign-up is suggested.
Fee: $1100 per week per camper (includes are entrance fees, Kosher snacks, & transportation costs)
Policy: Full payments to be made 2 weeks prior to start. No refunds unless due to sickness. No make-up day/s or weeks for any missed days or weeks.
Time- 10:00am to 3:00pm
Drop-Off/Pick Up: Barnes & Nobles Bookstore btw 83 & 82 Street and Broadway)
Dates: Choice 1-- June 22-26 or Choice 2-- July 6-10 or Choice 3-- July 13-17 or Choice 4-- July 20-24 or Choice 5 July 27-31
(You may pick one week, two or more)
*Students will supply their own: Lunch & Art materials (sketch pads, oil pastels, watercolor paints/brushes, pencils, eraser, sharpener, etc. Complete list once signed up.
